Fajr festival to honor theater elites with lifetime achievement awards
TEHRAN-Iranian stage elites Atash Taqipur and Esmaeil Khalaj are scheduled to be honored with lifetime achievement awards at the closing ceremony of the 42nd Fajr International Theater Festival (FITF) on February 1.
Born in 1936, Khalaj, a playwright and theater director has created several works such as “Goldooneh Khanoom”, “Obeid Zakani”, “Shabat”, “How's Mash Rahim?" and “Baboli Ha". He has also left numerous works in various artistic fields such as painting, photography, poetry, and acting.
Taqipur, an actor and theater director, born in 1945, started his career in theater in 1967 and has acted in more than 40 films and over 100 plays, TV series, and telefilms.
